ADOMETA - ADoption of Orphan METabolic Activities

ADOMETA is a bioinformatics resource designed to predict genes for orphan metabolic activities - known biochemical activities not currently assigned to genes in some or all organisms. ADOMETA returns a ranked list of genes likely to catalyze a given metabolic activity in a selected organism.

Please select your query

Select an Organism

Select a Type of Query
Select a Candidate Set
Select an Orphan Activity
(For example: 2.6.1.19, 2.1.1.10, 5.1.3.13)

To retrieve predictions, first select the organism of interest and type of query, then enter the search term and click submit. For example, select the organism S. cerevisiae -> select query type "By EC #" -> select candidate set "All non-metabolic genes" -> type in "2.7.2.4" in the query box -> click "submit". Alternatively, you can also select query by "Reaction Name" -> type in "aspartate kinase" -> click "submit".

Or browse the database by selecting the EC classification from a list.
