GENCIC (Genetics and Expression iNtegration with Connectome to Infer affected Circuits) is a novel computational approach that integrates genome-wide genetic data with high-resolution spatial transcriptomics and mesoscale connectome data to identify brain circuits disrupted in neuropsychiatric disorders. By tracking how disease-associated mutations propagate through multiple levels of brain organization, GENCIC reveals how genetic perturbations converge on functional neural circuits underlying specific behavioral and cognitive phenotypes.
